How do I submit a nomination?
Register an account on the official Awards platform, select your desired category, complete the online nomination form with all required details, and pay the applicable nomination fee.
What award categories can I nominate under?
The main categories are: Cybersecurity Industry Solution, Cybersecurity Company, Cybersecurity Product / Service, and Cybersecurity Professional / Team. You can find a list of all subcategories here.
What is the nomination fee? Is it refundable?
The nomination fee details are described on our Pricing Page. You can purchase Nomination Credits, which allow you to submit multiple nominations or nominate under various categories. This fee is strictly non-refundable, unless The Hacker News cancels your nomination for reasons not related to your non-compliance with our Terms of Service.
How many nominations can I submit?
You can submit multiple nominations. By purchasing Nomination Credits, you have the flexibility to submit various nominations, either within the same category or across different award categories.
Can I edit or change my nomination later?
You can switch nomination categories before the official nominations end date. If we identify a non-compliance or error in your content (excluding severe violations), we may offer a one-week (7-day) period for corrections. Failure to correct within this period may lead to nomination cancellation without refund.
How are winners selected? Who judges?
Winners are selected by an independent panel of qualified judges appointed by The Hacker News. Judging is based on defined criteria (e.g., innovation, impact, technical excellence). Judges’ decisions are final and binding; no appeals are entertained.
What do winners receive?
